OdinTechnical.com posts our videos at www.rumble.com. I have had several people ask me why we don’t use YouTube. So this is the official answer. YouTube has become a political censorship tool. OdinTechnical.com as a site is relatively neutral when it comes to politics. Currently I don’t post political content and I don’t care which side of the isle you are on as long as you enjoy the content. That said I also don’t support actively censoring anyone. Companies like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter active censor people they disagree with. They ban people and kick them off their platform if anything that doesn’t fit their narrative is posted. As a content creator I find this unacceptable. As an American I find this unacceptable. Therefore you will never find OdinTechnical.com directly sharing content on any of these platforms. It may limit my reach, it may cost me money. The one thing it wont cost me is my integrity.
I encourage you all to sign up for Rumble and subscribe to our channels there. I encourage content creators to use Rumble as an alternative to companies like YouTube. For any company like Facebook, YouTube, Vemo, Twitter, and yes even Rumble, it is the creators content that makes them money. We as creators should choose the values that govern their abilities to do this. All these platforms, if they are to be platforms should be open to anyone, uncensored and unfettered even if people are offended, or angered by what they hear, or see there. Freedom of speech is the single greatest right anyone can ever have. If we don’t protect that right and hold it dear to our hearts, if we don’t make it clear that we will accept nothing less, then we will loose that right. Today it’s one side, tomorrow it will be the other, and if we allow censorship to continue eventually it will be both sides silenced.
To those who have asked the question, I hope this has provided the answer. I would like to end on this point, what makes a civilization succeed is the free flow and free debate between citizens of ideas that by nature might offend you. In order to think, you must risk being offended. No greatness was ever achieved with out someone being offended and no civilization that allowed freedom to be traded for security was ever a success. Think free, live free, work hard, quit being offended by every little inconvenience and learn from them, dream big, and do what ever you can to make sure the future generations are able to do the same.
